Green Hill Hostel — House Rules
Our hostel was founded in 1998 by two schoolteachers, and we still run it like a family home.
Towels cost NT$50 each. A day trip to the tea farm leaves at 8 a.m. every Saturday; sign up at reception before Friday evening.

A growing number of travelers now say that the journey matters more than the list of places they tick off. Instead of visiting eight cities in ten days, they choose one small town and stay there for a week.
Guides call this slow travel. Its followers spend less time on buses and more time in markets and parks. They argue that racing past famous sites is not real sightseeing at all; by the fourth day most travelers can no longer remember what they photographed.
Hotels have noticed the change. Some now offer lower prices for stays of five nights or more, and run cooking classes instead of bus tours.
愈來愈多旅客表示，旅程本身比走過幾個景點的清單更重要。他們不再十天走訪八座城市，而是選一座小鎮，在那裡待上一週。
