At seven every morning, Chen Yi-ting unlocks a small practice room and plays to nobody for three hours. She has done this for nineteen years.
Audiences see only the evening: the lights, the flowers, the bow at the end. They rarely imagine the slow, dusty mornings, or the two years she once spent on a single sonata.
Chen is not a famous pianist. She teaches sixteen students a week and plays perhaps four concerts a year. Yet she says she has never once thought of stopping. Music, she explains, is the only work she knows that never lets her feel finished.
每天早上七點，陳依婷會打開一間小練習室，對著空無一人的房間彈三個小時。這件事她已經做了十九年。

Our students will exhibit a year of work in the school library from 10 to 14 June.
Each child has chosen one creation to show: a painting, a small sculpture, or a set of photographs. Nothing is for sale, but visitors are welcome to leave a written comment beside any piece.
We also need four parents to help carry tables on the afternoon of 9 June. Please reply to this message if you are free after two o'clock.
The library is on the third floor, and the lift is out of order that week, so please allow extra time.
